Jennifer Sanders Biography

Jennifer Sanders is an award-winning journalist currently working as a weekend anchor at KXAN. She is popular for her passion for empowering people through giving authentic information. Sanders is also a co-host of a podcast that focuses on educating women on ways to improve their professional and personal lives. She previously worked in WYSR  and KXII Television.

For three years, she reported during the week for ABC affiliates and created content for the web and TV. She later became a morning news anchor where she did morning news and anchored noon news for five years.

In 2020, Sander announced she was leaving WYSR to join KXAN-TV in Austin, Texas where she would become an anchor and reporter. Her career can be described as successful as she has covered stories that have gained local, national, and international attention. She had the opportunity to interview Oprah Winfrey, former Texas Governor Rick Perry, and when former president Barack Obama visited Cooperstown.

The talented journalist earned for her name an Edward R. Murrow award for covering “Hidden History: The End of Syracuse’s 15th Ward. Jennifer has also been nominated for several Emmy awards.
