Sarah Bloom Biography
Sarah Bloom has never let her dream of having children early in life prevent her from excelling in her career. She has had challenges as a mother and a woman, but she used them as stepping stones in her life. Sarah now serves as a morning anchor at NBC 12.
Sarah Bloom Age and Husband
Bloom is in her early 40s or later 30s. She grew up in a Christian household and learned earlier in life the importance of morals and family values. The desire of having her own family led to her union with her husband who she met at Washington and Lee and married in 2013. The couple was blessed with three children: Michael, John, and daughter Marian.
Education
Sarah was interested in journalism from a young age. Her passion led her to Pleasant Valley Highschool where she learned leadership skills. Bloom was also active in swimming, which she also practiced when she joined Washington and Lee University where she pursued broadcast journalism and minored in sociology.
While in school, she landed an internship opportunity at CNN where she learned to shoot, edit and write newscasts. Together with some friends later on, they started an independent broadcast in school called The Week in General, which covered activities that happened in the school.
Career
After graduating, Sarah got her first employment at WOAY where she worked as a reporter and anchor during the weekend. This opportunity opened her to the field of journalism where she quickly learned everything about the field. She later joined WSET as a reporter and anchor. There she got an opportunity to do in-depth coverage of small communities and the field of sports.
After three years, she joined NBC 12. The first few months in the organization were hectic as she had to cover major stories such as an earthquake, tornado, hurricane, and other events. Sarah quickly took the stories without complaining because she knew they were learning opportunities. After serving for some time, the organization promoted her to full-time morning anchor.
One of the challenges she faces as a woman journalist is having an audience-oriented on her looks instead of her work. In an interview, she confesses how women are judged based on their appearance more than male journalists. Despite these comments, Sarah remains focused on giving her best.

When she is not working, Sarah loves giving back to society by offering services. She has contributed by participating in social welfare organizations. She also started a parenting segment on the show called RVA parenting to help parents and aspiring parents to get hold of the roles of fathers and mothers in their families.
Although Bloom does not love the idea of appearance, thousands still ask for it. She is blonde, has brown eyes and her height is 5 feet and 6 inches. Having worked for more than ten years, her experience makes her an earner of approximately $100,000 a year.
