Stephanie Lin,35/7, is an Asian-American award-winning journalist working for KRON-TV as an anchor. Her passion for journalism stems from her belief in the power of bridging differences between people to create a United Society. Lin has had previous working experience at Heartland Media, NBC, and KCRA.
Stephanie Lin Age and Husband
Lin was born on 18th October 1986/7. She is the daughter of Taiwanese immigrants to the United States. Lin has a close relationship with her sister Melody Lin, who is a physician. Her marriage to Zachary Caffenzis is a reflection of her high regard for family.

Growing up in a white-dominated society, Lin wanted to be part of a system that recognizes people of her race. Journalism was the best option as succeeding in it would open a door an acceptance door for Asian Americans. She enrolled at the University of California Berkeley where she did Mass Communications and minored in Chinese. Lin started working immediately after graduating. However, having had her experience in journalism, Lin realized that she needs more skills to rise in the journalism ranks. She returned to UC Berkeley Extension for a creative nonfiction workshop. Later, she joined HavardX where she did Political Science and Government.

Lin was lucky to find a job immediately after graduating in an industry where Asian Americans had few to zero chances. She started at ABC News as a production assistant. She never got it to the screen but has a chance of producing material used by anchors. After 1 year, she left for NBC Universal Media where she was involved in NBC Page Program. Stephanie worked there for a year and left for New York to join NBC as a content producer. Lin produced content for the media network’s site and social platforms. She also had the opportunity to help in preparing scripts to be used in breaking news and in airing news.
She left media and transferred to the business industry where she was the director of Product Marketing for various high Growth Tech Companies. Stephanie had the opportunity to interact with people managing high-tech companies and get their perspectives on different markets in the United States. Her experience in Silicon Valley was successful as she earned a position among the top 40 under 40 Girls in Tech. In 2018, she bounced back to media working for Heartland Media as a News Anchor and Reporter and later at KCRA in the same positions. In 2022, she announced her departure from KCRA to KRON TV where she would be a full-time news anchor.
Her journalism journey, which is yet to end, has been exceptional as she has several titles under her belt. She is two time Emmy Award winner for covering Caldor Fire and another award by NATAS for covering Dixie Fires. She has also received several nominations for covering social issues such as the murder of George Floyd.

Outside work, Stephanie serves in the community in various capacities. In 2013, she was the President of the Taiwanese American Professionals. She served as the co-chair of the Games and Interactive conference in 2016.
