Tony Grace Biography

He anchors  CTV News at 11.30 and short segments at 5 and 6 on weeknights. He has been with the CTV News Family for more than 20 years.

Tony has been passionate about education for a long time. He learned that education would give him the skills he desired for his dream to become a journalist. He grew up in a loving family in Ontario where he studied his high school education at General Panet High School. Grace graduated in 1998 and immediately joined Loyalist College where he did an advanced Diploma in Journalism.

Tony Grace Career

His journey as a journalist started when he was in High School. He started working as an Anchor, reporter, and operator at CHVR-FM. He operated as a part-time employee; however, he became a full-time anchor as a replacement for an anchor who had gone on maternity leave. While in college, Tony worked for Quinte Broadcasting Company Ltd as an anchor and reporter for the radio stations that served thousands of listeners in the Ontario Bay region.

After graduating from college, He immediately joined CTN News first as a videographer and later as a reporter and backup anchor. For 9 years in that position, Tony had interviews with national and provincial leaders, and community ambassadors and had remote assignments in Toronto, New York, and Montreal. Tony Grace has also been involved in covering lifestyle news of the community and treating great bonds with them.

In April 2008, Tony was selected as the Board Chair of the Journalism Advisory Committee at Loyalist College. As the chairperson, he serves as a lecturer, speaker, and advisor. In 2010, he joined CTV Barries as an Anchor and producer for daily 6 pm news. He attained his current position at CTV News in 2019, where he became an anchor and producer for 11.30 daily News and a segment for 5 pm and 6 pm news.
