Nicole Binion Biography
I have done a story on Nicole Binion and can confidently say that the steps of a good man are ordered by God. From a little child, Nicole vowed to seek and serve the Lord. And, as the Bible says, the Lord has never disappointed her. Nicole’s life is a testimony of living from faith to faith. She now serves as the co-pastor at Dwell Church, a worship leader, singer, and songwriter. Here is what we found about her.
Nicole Binion Age, Marriage and Children
Nicole was born on 18th April 1975. She is the daughter of Ed and Marti Power, staunch Christians who raised their children the Christian way. As expected, Nicole grew up having faith in Jesus Christ. While serving in the choir, she met David Binion, a worship leader, and his sister Lisa. In her heart, she got a conviction that David would be her husband despite being older than her by 12 years. A year later, David visited their homes and had a conversation with Nicole’s parents about marrying her. Nicole later learned that David also had a revelation from Christ about their union. On 11th June 1994, Nicole and David tied the knot. They later had three children: Denver Cole, Madison Grace, and Carson Binion
Ministry
Nicole started singing at a young age. Her mother, who was the choir leader, engaged her in music at age 7. By age 15, Nicole had joined the Church’s choir as the youngest member. Serving as a choir member would later introduce her to David Binion and his sister Lisa who regularly visited as worship leaders.
After her marriage to David, the couple became a duo group serving in the worship team and working with Pastor Steve Munsey in Family Christian Church. In 1998, Nicole and David felt an urging from the spirit instructing them to leave their ministry at the church to serve as a full-time ministry in worship. They handed in their resignation in 1998 and launched their ministry.
For 10 years, they traveled across the country leading worship in churches, conferences, and events. They experienced holy spirit-filled moments that ushered many into the presence of God. The duo birthed some songs during these moments and sometimes had divinely planned collaborations.
The ten-year journey later came to an end when they were convicted to settle in a church. Finding a church was challenging for them as they did not find a place they would fit. After a lot of seeking, they settled for Covenant Church, which they were familiar with.
Pastor Mike Hayes who was leading there made them a staff-part time and later full-time worship pastors at the church. Much of their services were in-door because their main responsibility was leading, mentoring, and nurturing upcoming generations. At the church, they also nurtured their children’s desire for following in their parent’s footsteps. While at Covenant Church, they did an album Sand and Stars, and had an Album tour called Take Heart.
Dwell Church
After 10 years again, the holy spirit convicted them to step out in faith again. Planting a church was never in their wildest dream but it was God’s plan for them. They decided to plant a church and inĀ September 2018 they did an inaugural service at Dwell Church. In the same year, they did an album called Dwell: A Live Worship Experience, which features big artists like Tasha Cobbs, Travis Green, Pastor William McDowell, and their daughter’s song Hunger which she sang with Mitch Wong of Planetshakers.
4 years later, The Binions continue serving in the church, leading worship and recording some of the greatest songs in the gospel Industry. Nicole has also been a guest at Praise TBN and Better Together Hosted by Laurie Crouch.
Nicole’s hunger to see people living for God has led her to create an Instagram page that has attracted more the 50k followers all hungry for the content she shares. Her desire is to see people experiencing the power of God in their personal lives. Nicole’s desire is extending to her children who are gradually becoming like their parents. The Binions add to other popular worship leaders like Dante Bowe, David Funk and Hannah McClure in the gospel industry
