The 50-something-year-old was born in East Lansing, Michigan. Newman is the husband of Ami Vincent Newman. The two have been blessed with two wonderful children Isaac Newman and Kennedy Rose. The family lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ben had a tragic childhood. Together with his big brother, they were raised by a single parent who divorced when Ben was 6 months old. His mother was a teacher at St. Louis. She was diagnosed with a condition called amyloidosis, which is an excess of Amyloid muscles in the body. Doctors told her that she had two to three years to live. 11 days before Newman’s birthday his mother passed away. Newman’s grandmother gave him his mother’s journal which was written beat the statistics, beat the odds, live with the disease, and believe in your purpose in life. The journal has been instrumental in Ben’s life as it helped to shape his attitude when he faces challenges in life.

Ben went to Michigan State University and graduated in 2001. He started working as a Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual. This work gave him an opportunity to build skills in communicating with people and advising them according to their needs. As a financial representative, Ben was required to provide professional recommendations to clients based on their needs and goals. This inspired Ben to start his company.
In 2007, he started The Ben Newman Company and The Continued Fight LLC, where he was a speaker and coach. One of his earliest successes was joining Dabo Swinney, who was the Head Coach for the Clemson University football team. He also served as a performance coach of North Dakota State Bison which has a record-setting of 5 straight Division 1 National Football Champions.
