Life can take a big turn, changing your life completely. This happened to Rebekah Gregory. Rebekah was among the thousands of Americans who had flocked to cheer the runners. Gregory, eager to see her boyfriend finish the race, moved closer to the finishing line. Moments later, the bomb blasted, throwing her, killing three and injuring 260 people Rebekah included but her son who was sitting on her fit had minor injuries on his right leg and head. After five days, he was out of the hospital. Rebekah on the other hand was left for close to two months in the hospital. She went through 17 surgeries all trying to save her leg. Rebekah and the doctors resorted to amputating the leg. On Novermber 10 2013, her led got amputated. Instead of lamenting over the removed leg, Rebekah became optimistic. She jumped and took her first step on her prosthesis. Months later, she started training, running, and going to the gym. Her story became an inspiration to millions around the world. She, now speaks at conferences across the world hoping to encourage other people with limitations. Apart from her story, this is what we know about her private life.

Rebekah Gregory is an international inspirational speaker, founder of Rebekah Angels Foundation, and Author. She is one of the 2013 Boston Marathon Survivors. She has been featured by media outlets such as 100Huntley, CBS News, CNN, and inspirational figures such as Ben Newman and Hulk Hogan.

Rebekah Gregory Age and Husband 

Rebekah was born on April 12, 1987. She celebrated her 35th birthday in 2022. While the Boston Marathon bomb was tragic, it brought Gregory close to Pete DiMartino, who was also a survivor and later her husband. The two fell in love and caught the attention of Americans and the Knot, which sponsored the wedding. Gregory also said yes to the dress. They married on 5th April 2014 in Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina. However, after 10 months into the marriage, Gregory announced he was splitting with Pete. She confessed to trying to save the marriage but failed nevertheless. They divorced in 2015. The same year, Rebekah started dating Chris Varney, 35. The couple married on 23rd December 2015. Together they have a daughter called Ryleigh. She had her son Noah from a previous relationship. The family has two children.

Gregory is an alumnus of Eastern Kentucky University where she studied Nursing and Business Management. She later joined Indiana University Southeast where she majored in Nursing. In 2014, Rebekah decided to turn her misery into success. She became a motivational and inspirational speaker. But, her journey in the new life started in 2015 in Boston Marathon 2015. She joined in the marathon 3 miles before the crossline. When she crossed it, she got her life back. In 2018, Gregory started Rebekah’s Angels Foundation, a nonprofit organization that specializes in therapy and resources for PTSD victims. It also advocates for children’s mental health. Gregory’s life made more impact after amputation than when she had two feet. She inspires her followers through her Instagram page and as guest in Podcasts and Media outlets.
