Brittan Ghiroli was born on 18th November 1984 in Baltimore. She grew up passionate about sports and writing and in her adulthood, she has merged the two to become her profession. Her other passion is her marriage to John Caine, her long-time friend and now husband. The two were blessed with a son in 2022.
Education and Career
Her pursuit of journalism started at Michigan State University where she studied journalism. As a student, Brittany interned at Fox Sports Network as a production assistant and later as a sports intern at Falls-Church News Press.
After getting her degree, she got a chance to join Major League Baseball as an associate reporter for Tampa Bay Rays doing game stories, previews, and sidebars that hit 4 million views per day. After close to a year, she was called to MiLB as an editorial producer responsible for editing content for the Minor League Baseball website, monitoring multiple games, and writing deadline-driven stories.
She later moved to Major League Baseball as a freelance writer and as an Orioles reporter where she wrote game analysis and broke news with in-game updates and opinions. She worked for MLB for nine years before joining The Athletic where she started as a reporter for nationals and later got promoted to senior national MLB Writer.
