Hannah Gard Biography

It is one year since Hannah Gard graduated and also joined the corporate world in her childhood dream journey of working as a weather specialist. She stuck to her guts and now she is living her dream and holding the potential of becoming a national weather journalist. Hannah Gard is currently the weekend morning meteorologist for Fox affiliate WVUE-TV. Her expertise as a meteorologist is built from her time as a freelance weather producer and weather intern at CNN. She has also worked part-time at KSWO as a meteorologist.

Hannah Gard is a Colorado Springs native born on 14th September 1999. Experiencing severe weather like thunderstorms and watching news coverages on weather sparked an interest in her to make a career in weather. Moving to her personal life, Hannah Gard appears to following most journalists’ routes. As of writing this article, Hannah is still learning the ropes of weather journalism. Her interest is learning more about her career over getting a husband or being in a relationship. We have observed that the weather specialist is currently single.

Education

With the determination to realize her dreams, she enrolled at the University of Oklahoma to study Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a student, she worked part-time as a Barista for 4 years. Hannah was also involved in the school TV as a weather anchor and later as a senior weather producer whose duty was collaborating with other leaders to create schedules and determine workflow. In her junior year, she got a 5-month part-time opportunity with KSWO TV in Lawton as a meteorologist. Here, she got an opportunity to cover tornado outbreaks, extreme heat, and cold events. She also learned to produce content for social media and websites.

Her best season as a student came when she got an internship at CNN in weather and climate. Together with the weather teams, he helped in composing weather articles and interviewing weather experts. In her senior year, she got a rare opportunity to work as a freelance weather producer for CNN where she was tasked with creative detailed weather stories and researching weather issues that had a national impact.

Career at WVUE

After graduating, she got a job at WVUE almost immediately. Her credentials and experience opened a door and favor for her. Within one year, Hannah has been able to grow as a weather specialist as she covered a three-hour morning show on weekends. She had covered tornadoes, cold winds, increasing temperatures, and dense fogs. Her TV performance is a testament to her growth and confidence as a meteorology. She displays knowledge in storytelling, weather terminologies, and her audience as well.

Besides doing the weather, her other passion is singing. At school, Hannah Gard served as the worship leader at Life Church. She also loves traveling and spending time with her loved ones. She also loves community work. As a student, she volunteered as a campus relations executive for Cleveland Country Habitat for Humanity. She is one of the up-and-coming journalists like Grace Lowe and Megan Fee.
