She cemented her desire when she joined the University of Missouri for a degree in Broadcast journalism. Like in high school, Jasmine involved herself in media work. She enrolled for an internship opportunity at KMBC 9 News in Kansas City where she was tasked with attending meetings and creating content for the station’s website.
In her junior year summer holiday, she moved to Brussels, Belgium where she worked as a reporter for Feature Story News. Working at an international broadcast was exciting as she has to attend a European Council meeting and NATO Summit. She also helped in editing radio scripts for over 50 radio clients all over the world.
She returned to the country and worked part-time as a reporter for KOMU-TV. Her duties were pitching original story ideas and anchoring news for the station. She worked there for close to 2 years before getting a major role at KMIZ-Tv in Columbia. There, she had a learning time as she was involved with researching, shooting, and doing interviews. She also worked as a fill-in anchor during the weekends and sometimes as a producer.
Jasmine used the online platforms for the stations to connect with the online audience. After 2 years, she joined KOLD News 13 as an MMJ for another 2 years. On the side, Jasmine got a job as a freelance contributor for Valley Luxury Partners Real Estate. To this moment, Ramirez still works for the company part-time. Her main work is at KFMB CBS 8 where she is a news reporter.
