Jovonta Patton,32, is an American songwriter, vocalist, producer, and pastor. He is also an Instagram star with a page where he takes his fans through his personal life. Patton has done songs with world-renowned artists such as Kirk Franklin.
Jovonta Patton’s Age and Wife
Patton is a married man. He dated his wife for two years and later married her. The couple had their wedding on 25th May 2014. The couple is blessed with three adorable children: Ella, Zoey, and Cali. Patton grew up in a Christian home in Minneapolis. He was born on March 17, 1990. His family did well in supporting his talent from a young age. When he was 4 years old, Jovonta started singing in church. At age 6, he displayed skills in writing songs. The church noticed a gift of leadership in him and gave him the responsibility of reviving a choir in a local high school.
Jovonta Patton Career
He realized his talent at a young age and decided to make it his primary concern. Leading the choir group motivated him to form Deliverance For Youth (DFY), a youth choir whose goal was to impact the Youth. Patton’s aim was to reach the Youth lost in gangs. It was a response to the increasing cases of gun violence in Minneapolis. DFY received a positive response from society. Mr. Mark Dayton, the governor of Minnesota recognized the group and made 31st July Jovonta Patton Day as an award for his good work in the community.
The success of DFY was foundational to the success of Jovonta. With the members forming the group, they started a summer program to allow youth under 26 years to join. In 2012, Jovonta and the choir released the first solo live CD recorded called I Am Winner. They sold close to 2000 copies through word of mouth after the church service in the first week.
They later started marketing the music on the Internet. Soon, their music got featured at 12th position on the Christian and Gospel Album Sales Chart. In 2018, they released The Best Me, which also topped the gospel chart and also earning Jovonta an opportunity at a radio show called Morning Praise with Jovontal.
In the following year, he released an EP called Sanctuary, which also topped the gospel charts. In 2023, he released the fourth Album called Established, and like his previous one, this Album went viral with singles like Always. The success of the album also made earned him a selection in the Stellar Awards Pre-show. Jovonta was also invited to WCCO New to talk about this selection.

Patton is also a successful musician. His music is rooted deeply in modern gospel and pop. In 2016, he released the Album Finally Living, which topped the Bill Board gospel charts making him the first independent gospel artist to have an album at the top of Billboard’s gospel charts. His other music has had success as well.
Patton has millions of plays and streams on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. Patton has also sung with Beyonce, Erica Campbell, and Stevie Wonder. He has also performed on big stages such as private worship sessions with The Golden State Warriors and leading the national anthem at NFL and NBA.
Jovonta Patton is also the lead pastor and the founder of the Pop-Up Church. The church is focused on bringing the gospel to Millenials and gen z in a non-traditional way. He is also the worship pastor at The House of Hope Atlanta. Aside from ministering the gospel, Patton is a savvy marketer. He has been able to grow his brand through his Instagram page which has 44.1k followers. He is not alone in the journey of making Jesus known through music. Jovonta has followed the likes of Isabel Davis and David Funk.
