Julie Atchison is a Peterborough native born on 6th August 1978. She is married to Rob Atchison and together they have two children Wyatt and Alyvia. Her children have followed a different path from their parents as her son has displayed a passion for baseball. He plays for St. Thomas Minor Baseball.

Her pursuit of journalism started at Fanshawe College where she earned a diploma in broadcast journalism and later on a postgraduate in Television News. In 2015, she went back to school to study Meteorology at Mississippi State University.
She started off as a journalist at New Wave Video Productions as a racing event reporter. Julie served there for 1 year before moving to the United States as a Drag Race Event reporter for Live Nation. The reporter also worked there for 2 years interviewing drivers, coaches, and mechanics. She also updates fans on the performance of the drivers and matters arising in different competitions.
