Learning of her personality early in life, she began cultivating it at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High School. She later joined St. Bonaventure University where she did a degree in Mass Communication. Katie invested her skills in the school’s TV as a News Director and a Multimedia journalist. She was responsible for field reporting, creating social media content, and serving as a weekly anchor.
As a student, she interned as a reporter at WICU 12 News and at WJET-TV. After graduating, the young journalist got her first job at KFBB as a reporter. She served there for one year before joining WFIE in Evansville as a reporter. She got her current job as a reporter for WOIO in 2021. Katie has been involved in covering crime news, lifestyle, and events happening.

When she is not working, Katie is involving herself in matters that promote social welfare. She is an add and eating disorder advocate. Growing up, she suffered from binge eating from high school through college and sometimes even after college. After help from friends and a therapist, Katie was able to defeat the disorder.
