As a student, she interned at NBC News in the weather department where they analyzed weather patterns from the satellite and issued warning through the stations’ television crawl system. She also had the opportunity of volunteering at the National Weather Service.
After graduating, Klass got an opportunity at WHTM-ABC 27 as a freelance broadcast Meteorologist where she broadcasted current weather patterns to viewers during the weekend. She also used WordPress to compose online forecast discussions.
The media group promoted her to the level of a weekend meteorologist, reporter, and lifestyle co-host. As a co-host, Klass was tasked to reading healings and engaging guests with unscripted interviews. During the weekdays, her duties were writing, producing, and editing stories about weather conditions.
The media group gave Klass an opportunity to teach people reasons weather hazards occur in a program called Kellianne’s Weather Klass. The media group promoted her to a weekday and Midday meteorologist for 1 year before joining WESH as a weekday morning meteorologist. Her daily work has been reporting about the weather, how to survive during several weathers and weather changes that take place during the day.
As of 2022, her career is short but honorable. In 2016, she won Charles L and Anna R Hosler Scholarship and in 2018 she was honored as Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador of Excellence.
