She is an experienced member of the basketball staff and has participated in the winning sprees for teams she has worked with.

Lacey is an Oklahoma native born on 4th June 1987. She is raised in a Christian and mixed family. Her father comes from the black community and her mother, Tammy Goldwire, is white. Lacey has a younger sister called Tiffany Goldwire. In matters of marriage, we have observed that she is single.

Her family is basketball oriented. Her father Bennie played for Oklahoma, her mother at Phillips University, and her sister at Oklahoma City University.

Education and Career

Her passion for basketball began while in Highschool. She was an all-state and all-city player at Del City. At university, she did a degree in health and human performance from Oklahoma State and still played professionally as a basketball player for East Central.

In her sophomore and junior years, she was recognized as All-LSC. As a senior, Lace ranked 5th and was recognized as the Lone Star Conference North Co-Player of the Year.

Her coaching career began when she joined as an interim assistant coach after Oklahoma State’s head coach and assistant coach died in a plane crash. During this time, she won 80 games and the 2012 WNIT Championship with the Cowgirls.

Afterward, she joined Morehead State as an assistant coach in the 2012-2013 season. In the following season, she joined the University of Iowa as an assistant coach where she led the team in a 27-win run and a win in the NCAA 2014-15 tournament.

After coaching in Iowa City, Lacey joined the Neighbors in Fayetteville helping in improving the Hog’s competitiveness and a third-round position in the WNIT tournament.

One of her successful and competitive experiences happened when she joined the University of Texas. She helped the team secure third place in the league and a position in the SEC tournament for the first time after 5 years. In May 2021, she was announced as the new assistant coach at the University of Arkansas.

Lacey Goldwire Salary

Working as a coach has earned her respect and recognition on the basketball field. Outside coaching, Lacey is open about societal matters like racism and anything that promotes racism.
