Lily became a regular figure in the public when she joined KCPQ-TV Q13 FOX where she was the Morning News Anchor from 6-10 am and also a reporter in Seattle.
In 2012, Jang returned to her home town Houston to work as a Morning News Anchor for KHOU-TV. In December 2016, Lily hung her journalism boots. She announced on her Facebook Fan Page that she no longer works at KHOU-TV. She appreciated her fans, mentioning Ron Trevino, and praised them for the five years they worked together. Her departure was also seen as an effect of the Staffing changes that occurred at the station after the arrival of Sally Ramirez, who became the news director.
Leaving KHOU was only the beginning of a new venture. She joined Houston Public Media where she worked as a Host and Producer.
