Lou Engle Biography

Pastor Lou Engle still believes that modern times have powerful Christians of such caliber.

Lou believes he has the Nazarite mantle to call Americans to pray and face governmental policies that challenge Christianity. Over the years, he has been able to pull prayer of fasting events, crusades, and conferences that have gathered more than 100,000 people. Many call him an intercessor, revivalist, and evangelist.

Lou Engle was born on 9th October 1952. The 71-year-old is married to Therese and together they are blessed with 7 children who participate in his ministry as administrators. For a major part of his 71 years of living, Engle has been preaching and teaching Jesus Christ. He believes he was born a Nazarite, set apart and ordained to call many to a place of salvation.

Ministry

He started organizing prayer rallies in 1999 through a movement called TheCall. Lou was also head of Lou Engle Ministries, which also organized large prayer rallies and planted many churches across the United States. In 2018, he called off TheCall Ministries. He has since been joining other Christian groups like the Send and Jesus Image in organizing prayer rallies across the United States and Beyond.

Mr. Engle has a mission to change the narrative that claims that generation z is godless. He is proving this narrative wrong by organizing prayer walks, crusades, and fasting that involve many generation z.

Lou also created his website where Christian millennials and generation z can access Christian material. Engle also runs an Instagram page with 120k followers where he also shares Bible study material, encouragement, and prayer.

His ministries have been endorsed by other leaders like Kim Walker-smith, Michael Koulianos, Christy M Johnston, and others.

Lou Engle Controversy

Lou is also popular for his boldness. He is fearless in addressing matters that challenge the Christian doctrine. Lou has been vocal in his stand against abortion and the LGBTQ community agenda. He got into a controversial moment when he supported the Ugandan government when it established the law that called for life imprisonment and death for people attracted to the same sex.

His stand against the Islam religion is also firm. He suggested that the Muslims are actively contributing to the growth of the demonic realm and dark forces. The charismatic Christian leader has organized prayers and intercession rallies to make Christ revealed in the Muslim community.

Lou was also critical of the Obama administration claiming it supported policies that were against the convictions of many Americans. His vocal stands have made him a nemesis to political figures like Joe Conason and former Kansas Governor Sam Brownback.

Lou’s desire is to see Jesus’ revealed in the United States and ashaming the kingdom of darkness. His entire life has been dedicated to making his mission a reality. From this mission, he has been receiving funds that cater to his and his family’s upkeep. He lives a moderate life with his wife in Colorado Springs.
