Maria Martin is an award-winning sports anchor, reporter, and Host. She is closing in 10 years of experience as a journalist but has displayed the determination to soar to greater heights. Maria Martin is an excellent storyteller, writer, and interviewer. She has had experience working for Raycom Sports, CBS Sports, ESPN Radio, and WSFA 12 News. We dug in to reveal her mostly asked personal and professional information.
Maria Martin is a Florida native born on 14th April 1992. She grew up in a family and neighborhood that had a high appreciation for sports and just like what she saw she wanted to do something in sports. Her passion for sports led her to do what she loves and also meet the lover of her life. She is married to Levi, who is an NFL Coach. The two were friends for close to 6 years before getting married in April 2022 at an Island Wedding.
Maria Martin started pursuing her passion for sports when she was at Alexander W Drefoos Jr High School of Arts where she learned to dance and later joined the University of Mississippi for studies in Communication and Journalism.
Before jumping into journalism, Maria Martin has a long streak in dancing. For 9 years she was a Boca Ballet student dancer and had graced more than 30 stages with her dances. In 2011, she was a dance teacher at Random Farms Kids Theatre where she assisted people in fitting costumes, sewing, and dressing kids for performances. She also served as a Hip Hop teacher when she worked part-time at Tupelo Ballet. Other places she has been a dance teacher are Boca Dance Studio, Fierce Dance Company, and Oxford Ballet School.
While she thought, dancing would be her professional career a passion for journalism kicked in when she got familiar with it on campus. She served as a University Correspondent while at school and assisted in the production of Rebel Athletes. It is also at school where she learned to run the camera and work out the audio production.
