Her mother later remarried a man called William McKinney. They later relocated from London to Muskegon, Michigan. At age 14, she reconnected back with her father and has been close to him ever since. The Story of Michelle

The journey to becoming the person she is today began shortly after graduating from college. Michelle was like any typical American girl with the dream of having a man and family someday in the future. She did an associate degree in Commerical Art at the Illinois Institute of Art. After graduation, she visited her father’s family back in Ghana. While in Ghana, Michelle was deeply influenced by her grandmother’s devotion to prayers. While Michelle was having a good time in Ghana, life-changing news was waiting for her back in America. After 5 months, she arrived in America and was immediately got informed of the death of her fiance.

Michelle sunk into pain, despair, and depression. This pain had her become a playboy bunny and a party animal at parties planned by the advertising agency she worked in. The search for fulfillment in these things sunk her into deeper despair until she remembers her grandmother’s life. She also had a woman pestering her to attend church. When Michelle reached the end of herself, she visited the church and had an experience that forever changed her life.

She became a different person and favor followed her. Michell quit working as a playboy bunny and joined Burrel Communications as an art director and copywriter. There, she got an opportunity to work with big companies like Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company, Johnson Products, and others.

Lemons to Lemonade

Although she was excelling in her career, Michelle struggled with getting a man to settle with. Loneliness gripped her heart as she desired to have a man in her life. Hammond unsuccessfully searched for a book that would help her navigate the problem. Later she resulted to writing her own book but the writing process was halted when she got into an accident that left her in the hospital for a year and a half. In 1997, she finished the book. She titled it What to Do Until Love Finds You: Getting Ready for Mr. Right, which encouraged women to serve their purpose instead of putting priority on finding a mate. The book went wild in the United States selling over hundred thousand of copies and landing her interviews on Tv and Radio. The reception also gave her the confidence to start HeartWing Ministries, which facilitates her speaking engagements and followed up with the sales of her books. It also planned events that encouraged women. Michell e later authored other books like
