0 Pastor Preashea Hilliard Personal Life
While it might be true that many people do not understand the life of a pastor’s kid, most assumptions are true because most of these children end up embracing their parents. They might rebel in their teenagehood but they come back to their parent’s teachings when they become adults. This is a testimony of Pastor Preashea Hilliard. Many people know her as the musician and pastor at Preashea Hilliard Ministries, especially her Wednesday 5 am devotion. In this article, we will cover a bit of her personal life.
She was born on 23rd July 1985 in Houston, Dallas. Preashea grew up under the covering of international pastors Bishop I.V Hilliard and Bridget Hilliard. She is a sister to Irishea, Tina, and the disowned daughter Kermeshea. As most pastors’ kids do, Preashea followed in her parent’s steps. In her teenagehood, she became rebellious. In an interview with TBN, Preashea confessed that she also wanted to have a testimony like other people.
She started doing drugs and drinking alcohol. The habit became harder to stop unlike how she had anticipated. During her time at Oral Roberts University doing Mass Media Communications, she remembered her parent’s teaching about the faithfulness of God. Like the prodigal son, Preashea desired to go back into her father’s teaching.
With the help of friends and a spiritual mother, Preashea was able to re-commit her life back to Jesus and made a sober commitment to abide by His commandments. Service to the church and her congregation became her current priority. The young pastor has not revealed much about her desire for marriage. We observed that she serves the church as a single woman.
Ministry
Other than preaching, Pastor P is also a singer and songwriter. She released her debut album, Live Out Loud in 2011, which became featured on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart at number four. Preashea later released her sophomore album, The Glory Experience, in 2017. She recorded the video at her father’s church.
Since making her decision to follow Jesus, it has been Preashea’s passion to influence young people and introduce them to Jesus. She uses her social, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, to reach to her audience. Preashea is particularly popular for doing 5 AM morning devotions on Instagram, which are joined by thousands of people worldwide. When Pastor Preshea is not serving in her ministry, she is working in her company New Spectrum Media.
The young leader is a definition of a modern Christian passionate about the things of God. She has influenced thousands, younger and older than her. Her desire for God has also been echoed by Christian leaders like Stephanie Ike, Toni Collier, and Pastor Kels.
