Throughout her career as a journalist, she has covered stories that have earned her an Emmy Nomination two times and a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Award for excellence in reporting. She has covered major stories like the wall-to-wall coverage of the Condominium that collapsed in June 2021 at Surfside, Florida. 18 people died in the Collapse.

Saira has also covered weird stories like that of a man who climbed a fire fighting truck and refused to come down and the story of officials in Fort Lauderdale who moved an 85-year-old tree. Saira has also done sad news like the death of an 85-year-old who was killed by an alligator and the plane crash in Miramar.

Saira Anwer is evidence of a woman who has held on to her courage to pursue her dream as a journalist. She is an inspiration to young Muslim girls who desire to chase their dreams. She is also an Epilepsy Ambassador.
