Working on the screen is a dream come true. It all started when she studied at Times Square Academy and at Emerson College where she studied for a degree in broadcast journalism.
As a student, Shayna has many opportunities to hone her craft. She started at WEBN as a producer, Director, and Anchor. Her responsibilities were assisting in producing and directing news. Shayna served there for close to 2 years and later joined EIV News at 6 first as a reporter and later as an international correspondent covering current and international breaking news.
She also got an opportunity to intern at CBS Evening news. There, she learned to coordinate scripts, research topics, assist during shoots, and direct preparation for the Evening News. Shayna was the Executive producer of the team that produced a mini-documentary highlighting inequalities in Cuba. The team titled the mini-documentary Afro-Cuba Libre.

Shayna started officially working at WJAR-TV first as an intern and later as an associate producer and assignment editor for close to 2 years before she joined WSAV-TV as a reporter for 1 and a half years. The journalist also worked at WTNH for 2 years as a reporter and anchor before becoming an anchor at FOX29 Philadelphia.
In her journalism journey, Shayna has learned to create, shoot, edit and write her own stories. She has been at the forefront of delivering true news to her audience. The young journalist has covered crime, politics, elections, natural disasters, severe weather conditions, and campaigns. Many award-giving organizations have recognized her efforts by awarding her. She also earned an Emmy-nominations.
