Troy Millings Biography

Troy Millings is a financial educator,  Podcaster, and former Physical Education Trainer. He is the co-host of Earn Your Living, a podcast that aims to teach people about finances. Together with his partner, Rashad Bilal, Troy has been able to create a platform that brings African Americans together as a strategy to offset generational financial problems associated with them.

Troy Millings Age and Background

Millings was born on 3rd March 1982 in New York. The 41-year-old comes from a supportive family that provided him with a life that exposed him to opportunities in the country.  He is Married to Danielle Millings.

The couple celebrated their 10th marriage anniversary on 12th April 2022 and are blessed with two children Jordyn Rose and Christian Millings. The family currently lives in White Plains, New York.

Troy Millings Education

Troy went to Manhattanville College where he pursued an MBA in Physical Education and Sports Pedagogy. This course led him to work at the NYC Department of Education and as a PE Teacher. In 2016, he joined the City School District of New Rochelle where he was a PE Teacher as well.

Troy Millings Career

As a Physical Education Teacher at the City School District of New Rochelle, Troy realized a problem in the system. His students lacked people to look up to and most of them did not know about finances.

He called out to his childhood friend, Rashad Bilal, who was a financial expert working at his family’s Company. The two crafted a work plan and created a financial education platform for the students. In 2019, Bilal and Troy co-founded Earn Your Leisure Podcast, a platform where they could educate people on finances and entrepreneurship matters.

The success of the podcast attracted media outlet Revolt Tv, which struck a deal with them to create a TV show based on Assets Iver Liabilities. With that Market, Monday Podcast was created. In the show, Rashad and Troy interviewed celebrities, entertainers and business

Having the show streamed on Revolt opened Rashad and Troy to a bigger market. To feed this market, they started making plans to expand the Earn Your Leisure podcast. In the second season of the Podcast, Troy thought of personalizing the show by making it by asking guests about the mistakes they made on their way up.

The second season was also received with a lot of positivity. Troy and Rashad became big names in the financial sector and earning features of popular magazines like black excellence, and Forbes. They also got invited a BBC Radion London and ABC GMA3.

They have also interviewed successful people like Steve Harvey, Basketball Player Shaquille O’Neal, Business guru Don Peeble and the richest black man in America Robert F Smit. Seeing many people desiring to learn about finances, the two created Earn Your Leisure University, an online-based school that has over 30 courses and close to 2,000 students.

Invest Fest 2022

The success of their initiatives led to Invest Fest, a festival aimed at bringing together people from the black community and educating them on finance matters. The first festival was held in 2021 and the second was held in August 2022 from 5th to 7th. The event featured popular figures such as Rick Ross, Steve Harvey, Terence J, Wall Street Trapper, and other celebrities.

There will be performances from musical artists and interviews on matters concerning entrepreneurship and finances. The two financial experts are planning invest fest 2023 which will feature billionaires and an expected attendance of 20,000 people. 

Troy Millings Net Worth

Troy’s life turned around the moment he decided to chase his passion. In less than five years, he was living the life he had been dreaming of. Now, he can offer his children the life he never had. Troy lives a lavish lifestyle. His net worth is approximately $1 million. In his way up the financial ladder Troy has joined others like Wallstreet Trapper and Quiana Watson who are also experts in their fields.
