Zarna Garg is an Indian-American comedian and stand-up comedian. She succeeded against all odds. Were it not for her courage and convictions, she could be another victim of arranged marriage planned by her father. The decision to live life according to her terms has made her a highly sought-after stand-up comedian. Zarna is one of the few Indian-American comedians to earn a decent lifestyle and have influence in a foreign country.

She was born on February 15th, 1975. The 47-year-old descends from India. Zarna was raised in Mumbai in an affluent family. Her, mother, however, died when she was 14 years old. Following this tragic event, her father wanted her to get married, a decision that forced her to leave home.

She traveled to the United States to live with her sister. In America, Zarna met her husband, Shalbh Garg, through online dating. They later started their family and had 3 children.

The family lives in Manhattan, New York. On commenting about her husband’s view about her doing Comedy, Zarna told Philadelphia Weekly that he was supportive of her especially because Zarna had been a stay-at-home mother for 16 years.

While in the United States, she got an opportunity to reshape her lifestyle. She studied law and got an opportunity as a manhattan Litigation attorney. Although the job paid well, she did not like it. Zarna felt she could offer more to society. Her daughter encouraged Zang to do comedy, an attribute she had been associated with for a long time.

Zarna’s daughter pushed her into comedy until she tried. To Zang’s surprise, it worked. Thousands found her comedy interesting. Within a few months, Zarna was putting up a show attracting 5,000 people. The success encouraged her to start her initiatives in partnerships with clubs that offered the venue, food, and drinks. When success was becoming regular, Covid 19 hit the world. Clubs and restaurants had to close in response to the government’s restrictions.

This, however, was just the beginning of her success. Her children encouraged Zarna to use Tik Tok to share funny videos. Zarna who was reluctant made her children create short videos for the platform. The videos became popular on the platform almost immediately. In just 2 days, one video had over 2 million views.

The success of the video encouraged them to post more videos. Now Zana has 591.3k subscribers on Tik Tok. She further extended her videos to Instagram where she has 528k followers and on YouTube where she has 57.2k subscribers and a total of 25,471,055 views.

 

Zarna Garg’s Net Worth

Gradually, Zarna is becoming a household name in the United States. Now he can earn money through her online presence or mobilize several thousand people in an event. This has earned her recognition and wealth. Her net worth could be not less than $5 million.

Her fame in the United States has earned her Best Comedy in 2018 during the Austin Film Festival. In 2021, she was recognized as the Best Newcomer at the Ladies of Laughter festival. Garg became the winner during Kevin’s Hart LYFT Comics.

When she is not working, Garg loves spending time with her children and husband. She also participates in community work aimed at helping Indian Americans realize their potential and career path. Zarna joins other comedians such as Jiaoying Summers and Lyanna Kea to represent Asians in their respective countries.
