True to her word, Halani rose through the ranks of the fire department to the level of the Chief Batallion before hanging her boots.

Her decision to retire from the fire department was unintended. During her recruitment, she was asked to train for the Physical Agility Test. The short period of training birthed a craving for fitness. She hired a person who introduced her to bodybuilding competitions.

Her husband joined in and started training with her. He also developed an addiction to fitness and in 2016 they began contemplating doing fitness professionally. In 2018, they opened The Loft Athletic Club, which became one of the most successful gyms in Atlanta.

She retired from the fire department after working for close to 2 decades. She became a full-time personal trainer to some of the celebrities in America.

She also created an online program that her fans can access to learn fitness at different stages of a woman and meals to accompany the fitness lifestyle. Together with her husband, they diversified their income by investing in real estate in a company called Real Houses of Atlanta. They also ventured into clothing by starting their own fitness clothing brand called Body NV.
