Rachel Cargle Bio

Rachel Cargle is an American writer, lecturer, and public academician. She is the president of the lovelandfoundation, a non-profit organization focused on increasing access to mental healthcare for women of color. Cargle is also a contributor to the New York Times, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, Forbes, and Essence.

In one of her books, A Renaissance of Our Own, Rachel opens up about her previous marriage that ended in divorce after three years. She dropped out of Columbia University without graduating.

Rachel has been working most of her life. She worked in the USA Force Guard for six years. in April 2013, Cargel worked as a communications coordinator at Kingstown Residential Owners Corporation. She later joined Harper’s Bazaar as a columnist. At the institution, she was tasked with writing critical and engaging content on race and culture topics. She started the Loveland Foundation, a nonprofit organization centered on helping communities of color, particularly black women, in accessing mental health care institutions. The organization holds fellowships, residency programs, listening tours, and other social welfare programs aimed at uplifting black women.

Rachel is a rich black woman. Her foundation is one of the most active in the United States. She helps thousands of women in accessing mental healthcare. As an entrepreneur, Rachel earns from several sources of income. She earns from her career as a columnist and revenue from her books.
